What will change Africa from the begging bowl to the bread basket?
Africa is so big you can put Europe, Alaska, America & China into it. The continent has more resource wealth than any other, but still it counts for only 5% of the World's Gross Domestic Product.
750 million people are subsistence farmers but they can not produce even enough to provide for their families, never mind make a profit.
Africa is so richly blessed with natural resources, land, good soil, forest, minerals and good climate that there should be no reason Africa is the poorest continent on the Earth and getting poorer and poorer. Not even aid is helping. Hundreds of billions of dollars have been poured into Africa over the last 50 years and the situation just gets worse. We must acknowledge the importance of teaching to poor, faithfulness in the agricultural domain before the rest of the continent's potential can be revealed.
